Privacy Policy for Invoice2IPS

1. Introduction

Invoice2IPS (also listed as “Račun u QR” / “QR Invoices”) turns a bill, payment slip or PDF invoice into an NBS IPS QR code that Serbian mobile banking apps can scan. We respect your privacy: the app has no accounts, no registration, no advertising and no analytics, and we do not run any server that receives your data. This policy explains what the app handles, where it is processed and what stays on your device.

2. Information the App Handles

  • Invoice content you choose to provide: a photo taken with the camera, an image picked from your photo library, a PDF document, text you paste, or a file or text you share to the app from another app (for example Mail, Files or Photos).
  • Payment details: the recipient, account number, amount, payment code, purpose and reference number read from the invoice or typed by you.
  • Saved codes: bills you save as templates and your own IPS codes, which can include your name and account number, together with their pinned and “paid this month” status.

The app asks for camera access only to photograph invoices. Your photo library and files are accessed only through the system pickers, for the item you select.

3. How Invoices Are Processed

  • On your device first: an IPS QR code printed on the invoice, the text of a PDF document and the text of a clear photo are read directly on the device (using Google ML Kit for QR codes and text recognition). In these cases the invoice does not leave your phone.
  • Google Gemini API only as a fallback: when the payment details cannot be read on the device, the invoice — the image, the PDF document or the text — is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the Google Gemini API (Google LLC), which returns the payment details. This processing is governed by the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
  • You can review and edit every detail before the QR code is created; the code is generated on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google Gemini API: receives invoice content only in the fallback case described above.
  • Google ML Kit: runs on the device. According to Google, ML Kit may contact Google’s servers to receive updates and may send metrics about the performance and use of the APIs (such as device model, operating system and app version), which are not linked to your identity. Invoice images and text are not sent by ML Kit.
  • App store rating prompt: the in-app rating dialog is provided by Apple or Google; the app does not receive your rating or review.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, we do not track you, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

5. Storage and Retention

  • Saved codes and settings are stored only in the app’s storage on your device.
  • Images, PDF documents and text are processed temporarily; temporary copies are deleted after processing. On iPhone, a file shared to the app is passed from the share extension to the app through storage on your device and deleted once the app reads it.
  • We do not store your invoices or payment details on any server. A backup of saved codes is a file that you create and share yourself; where you keep it is up to you.

6. Security

Communication with the Google Gemini API uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data stored on your device is protected by the operating system’s app sandbox. The app never asks for your bank login, card or account credentials — payments are made in your own bank’s app.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can edit or delete any saved code in the app, and you can remove all of the app’s data by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data; because we do not hold your data on our servers, these rights are exercised directly on your device. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
